Power in Jesus Name

Power: Capacity to do something: the ability, strength, and capacity to do something

Strength: physical force or strength

Control and influence: control and influence over other people and their actions

Authority to act: the authority to act or do something according to a law or rule

The Name of Jesus if Powerful beyond anything man can think or imagine. At the Name of Jesus, every knee must bow and all tongues confess that He is the Lord. The Name of Jesus has Authority to Save, to Heal, to destroy. The Name of Jesus Christ is Eternal Life. He Has Ability to Save lives and to destroy. He is the Ultimate Power of God.

Matthew 1:20-22

20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[a] because he will save his people from their sins.”

Mark 5:8-11

8For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you evil spirit!”9Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area. 11A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside.

Mark 6:12-15

12They went out and preached that people should repent. 13They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. 14King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known. Some were saying,[a] “John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.” 15Others said, “He is Elijah.” And still others claimed, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of long ago.”

Mark 9:38-40

Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us

38″Teacher,” said John, “we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” 39″Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40for whoever is not against us is for us.

John 20:30-31

30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may[a] believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Acts 2: 36-47

36″Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

38Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 3:5-7

5So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. 6Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.

John 16 & 17

Jeremiah 10: 8, 18, 22, 25

8 They are all senseless and foolish; they are taught by worthless wooden idols.

18 For this is what the LORD says:”At this time I will hurl out those who live in this land; I will bring distress on them so that they may be captured.” 2 Listen! The report is coming  a great commotion from the land of the north! It will make the towns of Judah desolate, a haunt of jackals.

25 Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the peoples who do not call on your name. For they have devoured Jacob; they have devoured him completely and destroyed his homeland.
