Freedom from contaminants: the absence, or degree of absence, of anything harmful, inferior, unwanted, or of a different type

Innocence: virtue and innocence; the purity of young children

The human nature is a sinful nature. We were conceived and born in sin. Sin is not pure. Hence, for some reason that is ungodly, we are drawn increasingly and incessantly to sin. Sin is easy and sweet; sin is even kind of preferred to living a pure and holy life. However, the Bible says that the wages of sin is death; and the gift of God is Eternal Life. This Eternal Life is in Jesus Christ and is Jesus Christ Himself.

When we come to God; giving our lives over to Jesus Christ we must at the same time pledge a renewed conscience to God by proving our faith in Him. We prove our faith by our deeds. For many claim to be born again and yet, they continue in their sinful ways. Some say that God has not yet shown them to give up something they are doing; whereas such things are purely habitual and have become almost a part and parcel of living life for these individuals.

There are others who prefer to get things right before giving their lives over to Jesus Christ for they feel inferior and impure, unworthy of coming to Jesus Christ and calling Jesus Christ their personal Lord God and Saviour. This does not necessarily have to be the case, come to Jesus Christ as you are anyway but be prepared to change, be prepared for change. Know that you cannot continue the way you are for when you are in Jesus Christ you are supposed to live your life as an example for others who believe to see and follow and especially for sinners to see and wonder about our God who alone gives the Power to anybody to live a holy life.

Acts 26:20

First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

2 Peter 1: 3-11: Making One’s Calling and Election Sure

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, 11and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5:48: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

1 Peter 1: 13-15: Be Holy

13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”[a]

Ephesians 2:3-6 NIV

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

Titus 2:11,12 KJV

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.

Proverbs 11:6

The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.

Romans 6:12

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

Colossians 3:5

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

2 Timothy 2:22

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart

Galatians 5:24,25 NASB

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

1 Peter 1:14

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.

1 Peter 4

Living for God

1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. 2 As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
